WELCOME TO THE WEB!!
About Ms. HoferI'm very happy to begin my eighth year at Clark Elementary, and my first year in quite some time teaching third grade!
I grew up in the Chicago area. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from DePaul University in Chicago, and worked as an accountant and as a financial software consultant. Those jobs took me all around the world. I sure had a lot of fun! I knew something was missing from my life, though, and after I moved to Indiana in 2001, I started thinking about a career change. I enrolled in the Transition to Teach program at Indiana University - Bloomington, and received my Indiana Teacher's License in 2008. I completed my Master of Science - Elementary Education degree (also from Indiana University) in December, 2013. Before I came to Clark Elementary, I taught in grades K - 5 in Perry Township. I love teaching, and I especially love teaching at Clark! I live outside of Greenwood with my three dogs - Gretchen, Toby, and Frankie; and my two cats - Mandie and Jack. That's Toby (on Halloween, as "Thing 2") in the picture. |
Why a Web?Our classroom is "The Web" because we use our imaginations and our creativity to make our own world of discovery. Just as a spider weaves a web and creates its own little world, we will weave our "Web of Wonder." Each time we learn something new, that will makle us wonder about something more! As we learn new things, our Web will continue to grow!
